This Round is Batman themed. There will be 3 books. Then there will be a final round with 3 more books.

Grade purchased as: 4.0 from Heritage

My thoughts: fully agreed

CGC Grade: 6.0

Pressing candidate: Excellent

 

 

Detective 135

Grade purchased as: 9.0 from local dealer

My thoughts: fully agreed (we graded it together)

CGC Grade: 9.0

Pressing candidate: not great after all (I thought it could be higher after a press)

 

Detective 583

No grade given, purchased locally

CGC Grade: 9.2

Pressing candidate: Bad, the main issue was the messed up lower left corner which breaks colour

Comments: Again hammering the book for staining down from 9.0. I was completely wrong about staining in the previous round but hey gotta stick to my guns...

Comments: I'm so confused about the faint line that runs the height of the book on the front cover and about 1/3 of the book on the back. Is this a printers defect? I have no clue.

That's an issue with my scanner. The book does not have a lengthwide crease.
