Impacted corner/edge.  See how deep the well goes INTO THE BOOK?!  Yep.

But to be fair, I only broke the book out after it had been run over by a car.  I never would have seen that impacted corner otherwise.  Case saved the book from the car, but not from itself.

Full edge mis-cut.  I can't understand how that even happens (unless the cover wrap was added to a coverless - at the factory).

Nope.  Perfectly aligned.  Spine position correct.  It's Canadian, so that might be it.
