So, make that 134 out of 154 people.  1 person only submitted grades for 3 books.  You have to submit grades for all of the books.  a perfect score is 0.  I can't give someone a perfect score for 2 books because there were no grades submitted.  Sorry.

thanks for doing this :applause: work sent me out of state today and just got back in  couldn't get reception on my phone to get my grades in doh! that's what I get for waiting to the last day to get the grades in, maybe next year

good luck everyone (thumbsu

I really hope you guys weren't too hard on the poor newbie grader who gave that Hulk a 4.0.  I mean OBVIOUSLY he has to be fired--there's no way a book with an entire EDGE missing from the front cover can be higher than a 3.0--but I hope you at least sent him off with a nice severance package, and didn't just kick him to the curb.  I'm sure he had the best of intentions.

So when will the corrected grade be posted?

CGC takes into account marvel chipping.  The book is a clear 4.0-4.5.

I don't care if you call it Chantilly Lace.  Just because it has a name doesn't mean that the whole leading edge of the front cover isn't still missing.

Its common for people new to grading contests to be flabbergasted by CGC grades. That's the beauty of the contests-the learning one can acquire.  You might not care, but CGC does.
We're here to test our skills against CGC, the recognized leaders in the field of grading.
You just learned CGC's stance on Marvel chipping, which you didnt know before.

I must be the exception to the rule, then.

And CGC is here to test its skills against me.

An assumption that is equally unwarranted and incorrect.

Do you just go around arguing and insulting people?  Seems like all of my interactions with you tend to be of the same nature.

You also seem to be unduly reverent of fictional characters.

Want to be really flabbergasted.  I called that Hulk a 6.5!

I know when I looked back I was shocked too. :roflmao:

That's what I get for grading quickly and adding the CGC Marvel Chipping +1.

The origin of the verb is uncertain; possibly dialectal, from flabby or flap (“to strike”) + aghast. The word may be related to Scottish flabrigast (“to boast”) or flabrigastit (“worn out with exertion”). The noun is derived from the verb.

I had the Hulk at 5.0, for sure, all my methods of tabulation said 5.0. :(

And that Secret Wars, I called it a 7.5. I think 6.5 is a wee bit shocking.

.5 off the rest.  7 points for me .

I did the worst on the Batman, I was sure there was a tear through the book at the bottom, looked like it was in the same place on the front and the back...but that and the Spidey were my worst ones, so I can stop cringing;)
