I can only see small images on my phone but this copy looks far nicer and whiter than the Pacific coast copy which heritage sold for a mere $12 K back in 2012!🤦

This curator copy is going to bring $1ook minimum ,possibly $150k

Incredible copy......sorry I can't post a link

This would appear to be a different book.  I could understand if there were a dry cleaning method to remove distributor overspray on this copy, but the cover registration on this scan is very different than on the 9.4, 9.6, and 9.8 graded slabs, and the right edge of the 9.2 doesn't match up with the other version(s).

I agree with namisgr, I think the 9.4 copy has morphed into the 9.8

I think the 9.2 is a different copy

I had no idea the previous incarnations existed🤷 ....may lower the final price

The Curator copy of FF#48 has morphed from a 9.2 to a 9.6 over the years thanks to HA.

I will say, that it does have the best registration of any #48 I've ever seen going for it.

The bottom left hand corner had it graded correctly by CGC the first time.

Such a classic Kirby cover! 🙏 Sweet copy

Superb copy, but I agree the bottom left corner and the crease in the upper right-hand corner keep it out of true 9.6 range.

Still, I'd be happy to own it!  Was the underbidder way back in the day when it went for about $5100 on Heritage...

When it comes to the books from the Curator pedigree, is it not out of the ordinary to see more than one copy of a particular issue?  ???

Just wondering since I picked up several copies from John Hauser back around 15 years ago at what I thought were relatively cheap prices for a Curator pedigree book, so figured there must be multiple copies of some of these issues.  (shrug)

From my experience, yes, it would be out of the ordinary to see an issue with multiple Curator copies.  I've not seen multiples in the pedigree before.  Of course, that's limited to my experience only, and doesn't exclude the possibility.
