You know what will help the morale of the CS reps at CGC?  A nicely worded email over to them or someone else that can forward it up to management.  Praise is a great motivational tool.

Lift up not hold a person down.  Unless you are a serial killer, then by all means, you do what you do.

I can attest though that they do not receive many compliments.  Customer Service is generally a tireless job, but it is what you are signing up for.  There will be great days, there will be terrible days (unfortunately it is likely more on the terrible side).  Never take it personally and know that the next caller is another person with another issue. 

And like VHS, be kind and rewind.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with my tattooist many years ago after he finished with a drop dead-gorgeous young lady in a business suit/skirt. The curtain was closed as he worked, and I saw no tattoo as she left, so it was obviously in a discreet location. I said it must be an awesome job, and he says, "You know, you'd think so, but for every one that looks like her, there are ten that look like you and me."

It’s kinda like the nude beach.  For the most part, you wish they would put their clothes back on.

People shouldn't be tools, that's for sure, but when CGC has TATs measured in years and they continually add private signing events - hey! Daisy Ridley - and are blowing out their services to non-core businesses, I can understand people's frustration.

I'm sure that there could be more professoins professions that could be added to my list. I did number 1 for many years.

I now work with the mentally and physically Disabled who are much more pleasant to deal with.

Having worked in Customer Service I completely understand the need to be nice to front line customer Service. When clients were nice to me I wanted to work hard to be nice to them.....
