 The font that was used in the logo of the American series Stranger things logo is the Itc Benguiat Font.

Stranger Things font was based as an homage to Stephen King's font from the 80's

For me, the lettering obscures and breaks up the bat symbol too much.

Completely agree. I saw it and thought...nice! Now, knowing it's a rip off...it's just a big disappointment.
