2022 Heroes Con Report 1 1

I hadn't been since 2018 due to world travel/covid and such, but I decided to go back this year because it truly is one of the best shows every year and it is pretty much 100% about comic books. I swiped a couple of wall book pics from the internet because I know people will ask, but other than that the rest of the pics I took myself... so we'll get that out of the way first...

The best thing about staying at the Hilton, is you walk out that 2nd floor door and the show is right there!

One of the great things about this convention is that there is a LOT of room to get around. Everything spaced out to allow more room. And on FRIDAY, when it's not as crowded it's really easy to get around!

I don't much care for Jim Steranko. He's probably milked more fame out of the least amount of work as anyone in the history of comics. He still gets a small line throughout the entire show though.

Got that from Ed Piskor's table next to Jim Rugg. These guys have a great YouTube channel talking about comics and put out some of the best independent comics as well as mainstream! Rugg's current Hulk Grand Design (spanning 60 years of the Hulk's history over two comics) is great!

They had the usual artist's stage set up, so that artists could create work during the show to be used in the Saturday night auction... it's cool to go by and then later go by again and see the progress made!

It seems every time I go to Heroes Con, I meet someone I didn't even know was supposed to be there. When I think back over the years, meeting Jaime Hernandez for the first time, Nick Cardy, it's where I first met Jim Starlin, Earl Norem... and now... Don Simpson!
