Point Five's 3rd Annual Grading Contest: ROUND 4 BOOKS!

Round 4... THE GRAND FINALE!

-- The books have not been pressed, cleaned or altered in any way since these raw scans were taken.

-- Throughout this contest, I'm posting the full grading notes with each book. **In my opinion, this has the potential to be slightly misleading...** in some cases, the notes use harsher language than I would use to describe a book's flaw, and on the other hand there are plenty of flaws not mentioned at all. It's kind of random! So I would tend to weigh your eyes  and grading prowess more heavily than the notes, except when they describe flaws not visible (which is why I think they're still helpful on balance).

-- There are THREE books in this round. You can copy/paste the following in our contest PM thread:

ROUND 4

Radiant Love #2:

Rangers Comics #25:

Tomb of Terror #16:

-- Clicking on the scans should enlarge them.

-- Do not discuss the books or grades in these threads.

-- When you submit grades, I'll reply but it may take me some time. Don't panic.

-- Do not use the census for this contest.

-- Grades are due Friday, September 2nd 10 pm EST. **If you are traveling that day ahead of Labor Day Weekend, please submit them early!**

Good luck!

8. Radiant Love #2

[grader notes]
large stacking bend full right of front cover
light staining to cover
moderate creasing to cover
very light spine stress lines breaks color

[my note] For some reason the back cover scan makes the back look mottled/dirty/possibly stained... it's not. I've added a digital pic below it, which strangely makes the back cover look grubby in a different way. The BC is offwhite, flat, clean, not dirty save for a small spot to the left of the woman's head. The open edge seems to have light wear.

[my note II] The stacking bend is a vertical non-color-breaking impression running parallel to the right edge, all the way down. I did not see it before submitting. Added an angled digital pic after the front cover scan so you can see it.

9. Rangers Comics #25

[grader notes]
rippling full bottom of whole book
heavy, multiple crease right top of front cover
large stain full bottom of whole book

[my notes]
You can see the stain along the bottom of the back cover, which matches how it looks inside. It's lengthy but not very dark.
