When was the cgc hologram moved from outside the slab to inside? Is one on the outside a sign of a counterfeit?

I don’t have a case to send a photo. I want to buy one but noticed some have the logo on the outside of the case and others it was inside or embedded. We’re the hologram stickers ever placed on the outside of the case? Thanks. Glad you guys are doing well. Had family in Ft Meyers.

There was a time when the holos were placed on the outside of the slabs but I do not have the exact dates. It would be hard to verify without the certification number of the book in question.
