Odda
I am wanting to send my Batman #68 in to get slabbed, but I am wondering if it is worth the risk of getting it C&P’d .cover is still attached but as the pics will show, it is loose. Thoughts?
LowGradeBronze
It's too nice to risk it. You'd kick yourself it it went badly! grendelbo, Point Five, Odda and 1 other

That is what I was thinking. Definitely going to slab just to protect it.
Popular Post goldust40
Doubt you’d get much of a grade bump with the C&P. Not worth the risk. D84, badback83, tth2 and 3 others
Point Five
I flipped a coin and the answer is... tails. Don't do it. Treco, badback83, Odda and 1 other

"To protect it" is definitely not one of them. Robot Man and grendelbo

zzutak
A properly-sized Mylar sleeve with acid-free backing board has always worked for me. There are several sources of archival-quality document storage boxes (Hollinger, Lineco, etc) for any books or other ephemera you feel need additional protection. Do you know if they make top loaders that will fit golden age books?

10centcomics
I don't see any potential grade bump with a clean and press for this book. And since you mentioned it has a loose cover, I wouldn't risk it. If you plan to display the book, make sure there is no sunlight (direct or indirect) or fluorescent lighting as it will fade the reds and yellows on the cover. I will be displaying it in a room the stays dark when I am not in it and only has an overhead non-fluorescent light on the ceiling. 10centcomics
Odda
Decided not to press and clean. Very happy with the result. bobpfef and EmilC
