Back cover? I think that's the inside of the back cover. Looks like a very nice book, but I think that spine split is going to do something to the overall number. Inthis case, I wouldn't worry. I'm thinking 7ish and presents higher.

I’m not sure if you have already, but I would have the experts on other parts of the forum including here to see if there is restoration. This book is in remarkable shape given its age. It is at-least a 7.0 with a chance at 8.0. Seems too good to be true, especially with that black cover.

:bump:

Also, I imagine a book like this would be ripe for color touch or other restoration. I don't see any bleed-through on the inside front cover but any pics better detailing the spine, edges and any creases would be great.

Looks great though.

Here is the back cover. Book stored for 18 to 20 years by a friend who bought it years ago. Do you think a 6 or 6.5?

I would guess a 6.0. I think that the bottom corners are the only issues holding this book back from a much higher grade. Don’t have much experience with GA books. Really really nice eye appeal though. Thanks for posting!

No I won’t, it is what it is like a classic car…do you think it might be a 6 or 6.5?

Corners are the biggest issue, the lower is stained. Could possibly be in that range.

Maybe @Robot Man @Gotham Kid @GreatCaesarsGhost @Silver Surfer can help? I am not a Golden Age expert.

Thanks for the follow-up.

Yes, 6.0/6.5.

Thanks for the thought, but I consider myself an expert at nothing

I sure like the idea of a 7.0 the staples really are shiny. I couldn’t believe it when I saw them truly cool to see

with the GA bump and the flat shiny cover 7.0 is not unreasonable even with the worn corners.

It is one of 3 books a fellow lover of the books shared with me. It all about the love of the Golden Age characters, smell of the pages, and memories. I will cherish these books all the rest of my days. I am 59 years old I am taking pictures of each page so that I can read them on my phone and then grade the books for my wife.
