gadzukes
Super thick UK comic probably has 2 issues of Planet inside. They used so much glue on the spine (in production) that it comes around to the front & back about 1/2" (so I can't fully open the cover). marvelmaniac
Mistrimmed top edge, corner/edge wear, spine roll/fanned pages or cover miswrapped, color breaking crease near spine, moderate spine stress w/multiple spine tears, glue added as reinforcement, moderate foxing/staining on rear cover. IMO... 3.0 GOOD/VERY GOOD (GD/VG): Back to TopA used comic book showing some substantial wear. Cover shows significant wear, and may be loose or even detached at one staple. Cover reflectivity is very low. Can have a book-length crease and/or dimples. Corners may be blunted or even rounded. Discoloration, fading, foxing, and even minor to moderate soiling is allowed. A triangle from 1/4" to 1/2" can be missing out of the corner or edge; a missing 1/8" to 1/4" square is also acceptable. Tape and other amateur repair may be present. Moderate spine roll likely. May have a spine split of anywhere from 1" to 1-1/2". Staples may be rusted or replaced. Minor to moderate staple tears and moderate stress lines may be present, as well as some rust migration. Paper is brown but not brittle. Centerfold may be loose or detached at one staple. Minor to moderate interior tears may be present.
Point Five
Great pickup! I used to have the UK Planets, and regret selling them. This one looks super, and most of the issues marvelmaniac cites above feel production-y... the cracks on the spine and the wrinkling on the back might be the only big flaws. I'd think 4.5 give or take.
Yorick
I see the 3.0, but I like it enough to put it at 3.5. 4.5 is a bit too optimistic, in my opinion. Point Five

Golden Pete
3.5 maybe 4.0 but that is the top

gadzukes
OK..... I'm a little miffed about this one. It's coming back as a 3.0 with WHITE PAGES (that's the good news) But they're giving it a PLOD!!! This comic was part of a raw collection that literally came right out of a barn in the UK. NONE of the comics were restored!!! The note says "Cover & Spine reinforced". So.... the thing I noticed about this one was that they put WAY too much glue on the spine in production (it's a square bound copy) The amount of glue is so ridiculous that it goes onto the front page & back page a full 1/2". Question: If I complain and plead my case on this one will they give me a Blue label??? grendelbo and scburdet 1
