Captain Crash
Looking at going to my first SD comic con in July. Can day passes be bought at the door? The website is showing all badges are sold out, but are those just for the all weekend passes or am I totally out of luck this time?
thecollectron
Single day and multiple day badges sell out in advance and I think Comic-Con stopped selling badges at the door years ago because they didn’t need to anymore. I’m not saying it’s impossible to get a badge now, just that you’ll have to explore other ways.
BitterOldMan
If you are trying to obtain a badge in advance via their early sale, odds are one in 16 or a 6% chance, which is pretty tough. Even the parking must be purchased in advance. Hotel room rates get doubled or tripled during that week. Last attended in 2019, and spent over $2k just on the hotel room and tickets that I got through a vendor friend. My friend asked me whether I wanted to attend this year and I could crash in his room. I replied No Thanks! I had attended for 25 straight years. Edited December 9, 2022 by BitterOldMan Robot Man and Primetime 1

thecollectron
If you haven’t already, go to the Comic-Con website and create a member ID. You’ll need that to be eligible for the ticket sales in the future.
Aarrow108
if you're looking for actual comic books, go to Cal Comic Con or Torpedo Con instead. Robot Man, Primetime, alexgross.com and 1 other
nearmint
Surprised to see that the Early Bird Hotel Reservations have already begun and my preferred hotel is already full. I usually get an email when the Early Bird begins.
