NoMan
Want to read JH. Never read that title. Good TPB to begin with thank you.
boomtown
I've always enjoyed the western books and certainly collected the original Jonah Hex series, but the run started in 2005 was a much, much better read. Most of the run is available in tpb and you really can't go wrong. It's been awhile, but many arcs had really nice Phil Noto and Jordi Bernet (legendary European artist) art. That's where I discovered Jordi Benet's work and became a huge fan. They also had stand alone stories by Darwyn Cook, Brian Steelfreeze, Jeff Lemire, Eduardo Risso and many others. Can't go wrong with it. aardvark88
Grendel72
It's Jonah Hex. And it's super fun to read. Just don't watch the movie grendelbo
Dr Zen
Most Jonah Hex stories are one-and-dones. So it doesn't really matter where you start. But I would also echo the recommendation for the 2005 series. Coverdeath
jdandns
I like the Joe Lansdale & Tim Truman DC Vertigo miniseries from the 90's: Two Gun Mojo 5 issues Riders of the Worm and Such 5 issues Shadows West 3 issues All three mini-series were collected in a single 2014 trade paperback. kidcolt
Start with the Jonah Hex DC Showcase Presents VOL 1. Fantastic read, reprints All Star Western 10 his first appearance as well as the Weird Western Tale books. All important Hex books. It’s OP but you can get them on eBay, Amazon and other places. Jonah Hex is one of my favourite comic books, all excellent reads. The covers are all fantastic, each month we couldn’t wait to see the new cover. Jonathan78
The omnibus that DC put out a couple years ago is awesome. It was my intro to the character- loved it. Collects the Weird Western era, oversized, and in color.
shadroch
The Bronze Age story were very good, but the Lansdale series was outstanding. One of the few DC of that era I enjoy. As mentioned, most of the BA books are one and dones and very cheap. Coverdeath
