I assume that is because he colored it? That looks extra sweet! From the purple fade in the cowl to the yellowish green eyes with crazy smile and teeth! I've not known Joe to go all out like that... and idk that maybe looks similar to covers I thought were cool... Maybe they WERE Rubinstein and I didn't know... I'm used to cgc singling out the signed and sketched out, followed by sketchers. I was on my phone, but looks like signed and sketched by, list of names, and then the date, which is all encompassing! I have one like that, that I probably won't add to, as it's a Campbell and Eastman, and I'm not sure if the label would get confused with the separate art. Campbell did a pizza slice, and Eastman drew a TMNT holding it. Both artists used different colors, which is helpful. You've done this more often than I... So I said all that to say good eye! Popular Post cgcsketcherz Posted August 9, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted August 9, 2023 (edited) Hershey Comic Con 2023: Small two day show that I didn't attend and usually a type of show that doesn't have CGC presence. But due to a few big names, there was a facilitator on the premises that allowed mail in submissions. Normally wouldn't do this many at one show, BUT the writer Michael Kraiger was present. To my knowledge, Michael has only been at two shows the past three years that had a CGC presence, with four shows total at all as he usually only does small shows or appearances on behalf of the Kubert Art School. Since Kraiger wrote six issues of my childhood Scooby doo run AND Joe Staton was present... well you could probably guess! Had initially hoped for all different Scooby Doo but I have come to learn when a bigger selection is given to Joe through a facilitator he will stick with a Scooby theme and a few are quite unique. I can't blame Joe I especially like #13 with the play on the dinosaur bone. Thanks to Omega for the facilitation. Made an educated guess that we'd get the Super Skrull (sort of) in Secret Invasion show. When Leinil heard what I wanted he was surprised and said "You just want a Skrull?!?" I would have to see what her signature looks like and determine which one it would look best on - and hope it doesn't cover up too much of that beautiful art. Just my $0.02.
