marf
would a CNP boost the grade? Thanks! Edited May 26 by marf
scburdet
There's a lot of creasing that breaks color, so pressing isn't going to help. Looks like pressing could also damage the binding if it's intact A experienced pro might make the back look better. 3.0±0.

Qalyar
In light of the Avengers 4 issue, I'm more than a little concerned about this book also. It's harder to evaluate, because it's a little unclear what exactly is going on in the original image, and the stabilizer in the slab does not help matters. But that sure looks like a piece out of the back cover at the bottom staple in the original, which has vanished in the slab. There is a legitimate possibility that wasn't actually missing, and was just folded over (or under) the cover, and pressed out to look like it does now, but given the manipulations almost certainly done to the other book, I consider this to be, as they say these days, sus. Nilo2
Wow! another awesome pressing job and great result. I guess I need to recalculate what a popped staple will do to a grade. In any case, kudos to you! Great book!
