Gumbydarnit great idea for a thread thanx you my friend. I chose this one from Thor 421 pg. 18 by Ron Frenz and Joe Sinnott. Posted in 2020 it has 432 views but only 8 comments. You have a face off between two long time Avengers in panel 2. The set up begins in panel 1 where we see an absolutely livid, seething Thor. Cap tries to soothe him asserting that the source of Thor's anger is an Avengers priority now but there are mere mortal men with phenomenal powers..... and then, there are gods. Panel two, Thor locks eyes with Cap, he's so furious and determined to seek his own justice that a humbled Cap submits. The bottom panel of Thor flying with Mjolnir leading the way is wonderfully designed by the Frenz/Sinnott duo. It's very reminiscent of the 1974 The Mighty Thor Treasury Edition 3 cover found in our pal Dino's awesome collection.

Bernie Wrightson Zombie: This originally appeared in the "Creatures Featured" portfolio. 3,698 views but only 8 comments and posted all the way back on 7/2009. A psychology major could field a prize winning sample size and question just what goes on in the heads of CAF art viewers who decide not to touch the keyboard in front of them with at least one sentence describing in what way they felt/experienced the art.

I think Gumbydarnit has a good suggestion. If you take the time to look at a piece featured in this thread please take a moment to leave that gallery a comment. Maybe if it's not your cup of tea, you can still speak to the art even if it's to acknowledge the level of appreciation the gallery owner describes the work.

It would be really cool for some of these folks who took the time to share their art to get recognized, in some cases years or even a decade + since posting the art. :foryou:

I love these sketchcovers by Tim Shinn.  He's done color work for Neal Adam's Continuity Associates.

Guy Davis Sandman Mystery Theater #1 pg. 16   The most important page in the book. Does anyone care to hazard a guess as to why that claim by the gallery owner LB Jefferies might be true? Posted 11/29/2010    466 views and just 3 comments :-(
