It still feels like a "new character from VALIANT" compared to Marvel and DC, but the year that X-O Manowar came out, Spider-Man had only been around 30 years. It's not just the cover like many books. All the panels look like that. It's insanely detailed and beautiful. I got 2 of the foil variants. Dr. Solar and Magnus were also about 30 years old when Valiant's versions were first released, so maybe it's more like a self-referencing nostalgia. XO has been published pretty frequently with breaks over the years in between Valiant, Acclaim, Valiant/Dynamite. This is by far the nicest looking XO book I've ever seen though.
