I was wondering what grade do you think this is? Would this benefit from a clean and a press?

Slightly blunted corners w/slight color loss, minor spine stress w/multiple color breaking spine ticks.

The book overall presents nicely and without the color breaking spine ticks this book would grade around a NM 9.4, from what I understand CGC is being lenient on spine sticks/stress lines, I however am old school when it comes to grading, with at least 10 color breaking spine ticks I cannot go any higher than...

Nearly perfect with outstanding eye appeal. A limited number of bindery/printing defects are allowed. Cover is almost flat with almost imperceptible wear. Inks are bright with slightly diminished reflectivity. An 1/8" bend is allowed if color is not broken. Corners are cut square and sharp with ever-so-slight blunting permitted but no creases. Several lightly penciled, stamped or inked arrival dates are acceptable. Very minor foxing. Spine is tight and flat. Staples may show some discoloration. Only the slightest staple tears are allowed. A very minor accumulation of stress lines may be present if they are nearly imperceptible. Paper is off-white to cream and supple. Very minor interior tears may be present.

Fits the criteria for Very Fine but with an additional virtue or small accumulation of virtues that improves the book's appearance by a perceptible amount.

I'd say 9.0 is fair. I don't see enough to drop it to an 8.5.

9.0 to 9.2 with a C&P.

I don’t think the cleaning your book will be beneficial due to all colors on the cover. Maybe the special cleaning tool will not damage to any color on the cover. You have multiple stress marks along the spine. It will be in VF range. It would be your luck day to get 9.0 unless it gets pressed. You have a cool British version copy that is not very often we see here in US.
