any thoughts about prices yesterday and what they suggest about the state of the hobby?

Were there significant price drops? -> No? Crash will happen next time.

I won a cover. 

Didn't follow the whole auction. I won the cover pretty early and didn't watch the rest.

I won the two Matteo Scalera pieces for what I thought were great prices. I really wanted to go harder on the Quesada pieces, but there's a piece coming up that I really want to go after.

I think this was the longest a tracking bid went for me. Up to a few hours before the auction ended.

It was a typical C-link auction.

Here are some pieces I thought went a bit higher than I expected.

And here are some I thought went really low. The Destro trade paperback cover was THE bargain of the night, followed by the Tales of the New Teen Titans cover and the William Johnson and Mike Mignola Master of Kung Fu page. The Sonic cover was also a bargain.

I saw a page I thought would serve a fun lil art fix. At the time it was sub $200 and thought who knows might could win it at $250, but like all Comiclink auctions I forgot about it.

Went back later to see what it gaveled, and it was the exact same sub $200 price no movement!

I like Comiclink, but for some reason I just forget about their auctions.

I'm the same.

They send me wantlist emails before the scans are ready, so I often just ignore them at the time.
When I do remember to check back, I put in tracking bids (which is incredibly outdated and ridiculous), but then I often forget about them again.
With no bidder alerts like HA, I often don't realize when I've been outbid or even that the auction is taking place.
I like that they exist, and wish they would do better, but I honestly can't understand why anyone consigns with them.

Agree. Thought the latest big HA auction was light for pieces under 10K... then I picked up a Byrne Spidey page a week later on HA for 1900 (34%) less than the hammer price in October... now this auction. I think the smaller collector just doesn't have the extra cash right now.

The Isherwood Suicide Squad page actually sold for far less than it should.  Basically, the winner got it at a 50% discount.

I can’t speak to the other pages as I don’t follow them closely enough

I haven’t followed Suicide Squad art closely for awhile, but I sure didn’t figure pages were this high. I used to have more SS covers and pages than probably the artists and I don’t think I ever got more than $150-$200 per page. 🤦‍♂️
