Anyone have any idea what kind of defect is on my Tomb of Dracula 10? 2 2

Ok: so got a non-color filled line right above the A on the cover of Tomb of Dracula 10.  Not sure if this is a color scratch, a printer crease, or whatever; any help would be great!

My best guess is a scratch, but I'm no authority. Following this to see what the better informed posts say.

Do you have the book in-hand? Run your finger over the area, or hold it up to the light at an angle. Do you see any indents, raised areas or dullness?

Does anyone think that if this was the only flaw on the book, that it could get a 9.8?

I personally don’t think it would be permitted on a 9.8, but I just want to ask.  Hate to have a possible 9.8 TOB 10 and not pursue it.

 

FYI: it just came back from CGC, and Joey did an AMAZING job.  The grade is 9.4, with this color breaking line being the only defect noted.

You mean you submitted this to Joey on 5/23, and you already have it back from CGC on 6/9?

I thought turnaround times had been a problem...?

Noooo; I submitted it earlier to Joey.  

 

Didn’t mean to imply I had sent it to him on 5/23!  Sorry for the confusion.

The picture I shared was from when I initially had the book awhile back; was getting antsy waiting on CGC to scry my book score.
