A bit of lighter fare...

Up In Valerie's Room by Martin Collyer. Lancer Books 73-414  1st Edition PBO   1963       $12

Great GGA, I can't put my finger on the artist but it's in the Mitch Hooks style.

Fine/Very Fine. Super glossy and new looking, great color, greatspine, tight pages, smooth covers. Page quality is great. A really nice GGA book.  Surprisingly fresh since Lancer's seem to fall apart when you stare at them hard.

I can't resist books with great campy movie titles like:

"Satan in High-Heels"  by Noel Candler. Belmont Books L92-572   Movie tie-in/novelization. 1st Edition 1st Printing  October 1963       $10    SOLD at 20% off to Tupenny Conan

Cool multi-photo cover framing a dame in a corset. Sleaze novel "About a carnival tramp who cheats, steals and bed-bounces her way to New York"

Fine/Very Fine. Also very glossy and new looking, great color for a white cover, great spine, tight pages, smooth covers, only light wear. Page quality is great. A really nice 60's movie camp book.

Worlds Of Weird    Edited by  Leo Margulies     1st Ed.    Pyramid Books #R-1125 1965     $22

A collection (the first I believe) of Weird Tales pulp stories     Virgil Finlay cover art.

Fine/Very Fine - Uncreased unread copy. Perfect spine. No readers crease. Foxing to the inside covers and pages tanning as usual.

A superior copy in every respect of an exceedingly difficult black cover book.

Spiderweb by Robert Bloch backed with the Corpse in my Bed by David Alexander   Ace D-59  1st Edition PBO of the Weird Tales/Arkham House author Robert Bloch.      $40 SOLD to Norrin's Lawyer

Bloch's 1st book for Ace with classic Harry Barton GGA cover art. As mentioned elsewhere, much harder to find these early Ace mystery  novels in any condition compared to the Science Fiction ones.

Very Good Plus/Fine Minus. Solid spine has minimal wear, pages tight. Reader crease on both sides and Spiderweb side has light creasing to the corner but the pages are supple and tight and covers glossy and attractive. My copy is only marginally better, almost impossible to find without any creases.

Our Friends From Frolix 8  by Philip K. MR.   Ace 64400   June 1970. First Book Edition, PBO precedes the SFBC Hardcover.   $25 Now $20

Cover art by John Schoenherr. True first of one of the most collected SF authors.

Fine Plus. The last of the copies I have for sale of this title from the "High Grade" collection which contained multiples of some key titles. A very nice unread copy of a true 1st Edition. Not a rare book generally but tough to find really nice ones like this. Light corner crease on back cover and a tiny color chip at tip, some edgewear and a light spine crease on back. A very attractive copy.

The Spider #4 Grant Stockbridge DEATH REIGN OF THE VAMPIRE KING/PAIN EMPEROR    $15 Now $12

Great cover art from the original September 1940 pulp. The next best alternative.

The last copy I think I have for sale from the "High Grade Collection" of multiples.

As New.  Super glossy, unread, uncirculated copy with only minor storage and surface/edgewear wear.

Two novels, originally published in November 1935 as "Death Reign of the Vampire King" and in February 1935 as "The Pain Emperor" in the pulp monthly publication The Spider, Master of Men!

For those unaware, Robert Bloch would go on to write a novel that Alfred Hitchcock would turn into the blockbuster, Psycho.  Cool book!

Carson of Venus by Edgar Rice Burroughs  Ace  F-247 December 1963   $25    SOLD to mrlatko

Moody signed Frazetta cover. First Ace edition ("Small" edition) and first American paperback edition. Tough to find these 1st/1sts in this shape any more.

Very Fine minus. Glossy, appears unread. No reader crease, has light rub mark to lower front spine edge and a minute little dent to side cover. Some very light pressure marks on back cover. Toning is light.

A great looking copy that looks better at 60 than I do
