Just Ask For Margaret by W.B. Tasker       Midwood Books 26     1959      $22

Midwood books were the essence of  '60's Good Girl sleaze thanks to the awesome GGA covers by Paul Rader, of which this one is a super example.

Very Good Plus/Near Fine. Very fresh and glossy copy, looks like a Fine Plus or better from the front. Spine is slanted and pages uneven but still tight. Very light creasing and wear. A very tough and beautiful vintage paperback.

The Devil Finds Work by Michael Delving       Leisure Books LB487DK  1969              $20

Incredible altar sacrifice GGA Art. One of the many 1960's - 70's popular novels delving into the occult, satanism and other sundry cult like activities

Very Fine - like new. Binding tight and square pages tight and supple. Appears unread. Virtually no wear.

I'm going to take a pause here, to barbeque dinner for my wife and raise a toast to all who gave all. I may get back tonight to post, but otherwise will resume to figure out next steps as I have lots of books left but also am trying to make time to finish the collectibles room. I made great progress on my Ikea shelves today in between posts and my honey-do list :headbang: Thanks to everyone who is visiting here in any capacity. If there's something that catches your fancy, let me know.

SEXMAX by Hughes Cooper Pseudonym of George H Leonard     Paperback Library 64-174    1st Edition Paperback Original   1969      $25

Incredible nudes cover. The last gasp of the 1960's sci fi in full hippie mode - of course computer matched sex hookups actually became a thing :insane:

Very Fine - unread copy - no spine bend or wear at all  - only the slightest shelf/edge wear. Pages bright and creamy.

I wonder if the story is any good.  Unlike many of my GA comics that I buy strictly for the cover image, I usually try to purchase books that I have enjoyed reading or would enjoy.  Nice cover though.

While I doubt that "Brave New World" and "1984" need fear that "Sexmax" will dethrone their honored status 😁  I've found most 60's SciFi to be at least entertaining. I haven't read this as I feared it was too nice to crack open and the cover deserves to be preserved. It's a pretty crazy image.

The Continental Op by Dashiell Hammett       Dell 129    1946     $45

Hard Boiled pulp collection with one of the most famous Dell Mapback Art Deco covers with a hanging man inside a badge.

Dell's from this period have a stiff cardboardish cover paper and they are extremely hard to find without the covers having hard creases that break the color and torn up lamination if they are laminated issues.

Fine/Fine Plus. Solid binding, pages tight and supple. Spine has a slant but covers are nice and uncreased. Light edge and cornerwear.  Lamination is intact.  A very nice copy of an all time classic vintage paperback.
