Possess Me Not by Fan Nichols   Avon Books No. 346     1951     $25

A  beautiful copy of an amazing Robert Crowl nude Good Girl art cover PB.

Fine plus.   Fantastic gloss, near perfect lamination, Bright, square and tight. Cover very slightly pulled back. Pages are creamy with minimal cover toning. Page edge color is slightly uneven. A very attractive copy with a great GGA cover.

Those last few photos are darker than the books appear in hand because it's night and my photos are in artificial room light. I usually take my pics in daylight by the window of our playroom and they look like in hand.

That just means it's getting late and I'm going to chill and let the thread ride until tomorrow to list some more fun stuff.  (thumbsu

The Savage Chase by Frederick Lorenz    Lion Books 223   September 1954   1st Edition PBO     $40   SOLD per PM

Fantastic wrap around Gangsters & GGA cover art by Al Rossi. Just an amazing, gritty, detailed cover to a tough noir thriller.

A eye popping copy. If you know Lion Books at all, you know how tough they are to find like this.

Very Fine minus. Covers bright with blazing gloss, unread. Great page quality. Light toning to interior. A few light finger bends to the edges. They just don't turn up like this often.

So I'm going to kick this off again, I'm posting a few at first but I have a some things to do today, including working on assembling my book cases for the Comic Room, so there will be some pauses. Trying to post as wide a selection of authors, artists and pricing so there's something for everyone.

Speaking of everyone, I think everyone should love Frederic Brown. One of the most inventive storytellers who crosses over from Noir to Science Fiction. He was mostly published by Bantam Books, which are notably fragile around the edges.

Women In Trouble by James Donner      Monarch MB501   1959      $20 Now $18

An unusual good girl art cover by Robert Maguire

Fine  - appears unread - highly glossy , has a dent at the top front cover that doesn't break the color  otherwise only  the slightest hints of wear. Would be a super high grade without dent, which really is unobtrusive but there nonetheless.
