It's a great set and those black covers are brutally unforgiving...

I've been looking for those two for a while now.  I also want to find the Dell Eternal Champion with the Frazetta cover.

Does anybody know if that's the first use of the Death Dealer painting?  It's definitely a very early one.

I'm going to pause here. I'll have plenty of time tomorrow to list more. There are a lot of crazy cool books still to be took in this thread. Especially stuff from the 1940's, those are so hard to find these days. Offers are always entertained.  I have to learn how to do a proper re-cap to pull the thread current in future sales hm

Bubu of Montparnasse Charles-Louis Philippe Avon 607 1954 Photo cover NICE copy.  $20  Now $18

White Mountain Pedigree copy with the original owners date stamp on the first page. This was actually a very interesting read if you like the classic French authors like Zola.

Qualified Very Fine - should there be grades like this? - Super sharp spine and fresh glossy book - has a ding and crease to the top of the book, otherwise would be very fine, pages creamy and supple. Small date stamp inside first page. A stunningly fresh presenting copy of a scarce vintage paperback

Lysistrata by  Fletcher Flora     Zenith ZB-16   1959      $20  Now $18  SOLD at 20% off to crassus

Classic Rudy Nappi GGA cover art. For those who don't know, Zenith was Martin Goodman's continuation of the Lion Books/Lion Library line after the wind down of the latter title. He used many of the same great artists that populated the Lion title covers.

Fine/Very Fine.  Solid square binding, almost no edgewear & no creasing.. The book appears unread. A very nice presenting copy of  classic cover.

Cockpit by Warwick Scott          Lion Books 140   1st Edition Paperback original  1953      $20  Now $18 SOLD at 20% off to PopKulture

Cult Classic Racing JD/Drug title with a nice Good Girl working the pit on the cover.

Fine, No spine slant, which is rare for a Lion book. Slight rubbing to the cover. Very light reader crease but no other creasing on the front cover and only minor creasing on the rear. Pages are tight in the binding and supple and off-white, not browning as is usually found on these.  Pretty nice for a 70 year old fragile production.

The Continental Op by Dashiell Hammett       Dell 129    1946     $45  Now $40   SOLD per PM

Hard Boiled pulp collection with one of the most famous Dell Mapback Art Deco covers with a hanging man inside a badge.

Dell's from this period have a stiff cardboardish cover paper and they are extremely hard to find without the covers having hard creases that break the color and torn up lamination if they are laminated issues.

Fine/Fine Plus. Solid binding, pages tight and supple. Spine has a slant but covers are nice and uncreased. Light edge and cornerwear.  Lamination is intact.  A very nice copy of an all time classic vintage paperback.

Devil's Virgin Paul W. Fairman aka Ivar Jorgensen             Bedside Books 979   1960      $30  Now $25 SOLD at 20% off to crassus

Yes, this is a Science Fiction novel! A great example of how those 60's publishers would re-package anything and put a babe on the cover.

Sleaze remake of the science fiction novel, "Rest in Agony" by Ivar Jorgensen published in Fantastic Adventures pulp in January 1952 and reprinted as a Monarch Book later under the original title in 1963

Wonderful GGA cover art

Fine plus. Very fresh and glossy copy. Solid spine, pages tight. Book has a bit of a bend to it from storage. Very light creasing and wear. A superior copy of a tough vintage paperback.

So if you have to live to 50 to get the "SexMax" pass, how come this gal gets a 19-year-old?
