Ok… so got my Spider-Man Movie book back today (signed by Willem Dafoe) and since it just arrived I missed my chance to either have  Triston or Rich get it signed by Sam Raimi.  Next spot I believe her is at is in Chicago which I could probably make it to but I dont see anything about CGC attending.  Does anyone k ow if they will be or is any facilitator going to attend?  Really would like to get Sam’s signature on my book.

Thanks in advance!

Galaxy Con is doing a mail in for him. Make sure you email them first before sending anything in though. They have a questionnaire you need to answer for CGC orders.

@postersandstuff I've mentioned this before. Galaxycon openly works with a (very) reputable CGC facilitator. Calling Galaxycon out selling fakes is cause for concern not only for their large list of send-ins but also the ethics of the CGC facilitator they work with. Would you care to enlighten us on why you feel this way?

Personally, I've had no issue with Galaxycon as a send in service, the convention itself, or the CGC facilitator they use. So, I'm very interested to see why you'd call them out like this on more than one occasion.

they sold Mario Lopez' secs as real

They could do the right thing and refund these customers but thats not gonna happen. I only have an issue with GC here , this is not related to CGC in any way

(theres bad apples in R*CC too : simplybub and primetimesignatures08.....theres a reason why redditor fakeautographs have mentioned these a few times)

from startiger :

"I just wanted to put out a warning to beware of galaxycon autographs. I believe they sent me a fake autograph. I ordered Mario Lopez from a comic con he was doing in September 2021. He cancelled last minute and they sent me this autograph at the end February. You can clearly see that the autograph is fake. Anywhere you try to compare it, it doesn't match. I told galaxycon about it and they just brushed off that they stand by their autographs. I know i should have gotten the jsa certification thing, but i never had a problem with galaxycon before. I guess I learned my lesson, but I don't think i will buy from them ever again.

and :

"That definitely looks nothing like the IP one I got in Toronto a few years ago

I couldn't find an authentic example that matched what you received. I would do a quick opinion with Beckett and if they say fake would push for a full refund"

and : "The handwriting looks very feminine to me on the signed photo of Mario they sent you"

and : "I have to agree, you got ripped off. It's happened to most of us at one time or another. But thank you for letting us all know to steer clear of these guys"

and : "Granted I don't know if this is a rare incident (though as Victor referenced there has been at least other member here raising questions here on a notably expensive piece). But this is a company whose supposed business model should absolutely prevent anything like this from being an issue. Whether this is a problem within the company or bad practices being exposed, it's still a problem either way and undermines their integrity"

You should see some of his other posts, he has issues with a wide gambit of signatures despite who authenticates them.

yes , because people who pay (a lot sometimes) should obviously be getting the real thing and if the companies fail like with sec signatures then customer(s) should be refunded.....it shouldnt even have to be a discussion

So your opinion of what a fake signature is, is better than actual TPA companies that provide their service and guarantee? Why are you not working for one of them offering this insight or creating a certification body of your own?

All signatures (even CGC witnessed) are Caveat Emptor and every TPA is going to authenticate something that looks good but is fake and you are going to call fake on something that may very well be good.

Whos to say that ACOA isnt as good as JSA/PSA/Beckett for example ?

From what I read on fb PSA getting more and more sloppy with authenticating but they all make mistakes

Ive done autographs around 25 yrs , its not like I started plus minus 5 yrs ago , its not pretty whats happening behind scenes......people are also in denial about Hollywood Show but fact is they scammed me a lot of money but when it comes to refunds - forget it.  Piece of the Past , same thing (just google Piece of the Past  , its all online to read : POTP bbb review (theft in 2021 , he stole items to avoid refund) , autograph live forum (multiple bad reviews) , yelp Starworld (in 2016 Scott M of Dearly Departed tours L.A lost 1000s , Kevin Martin "lost" his Rocky Horror items worth 1000s.....funny thing is KM is alleged a RH fan himself....hmm !

Starworld was owned by Elkouby aka HS.....that guy more than likely sold a fake Game of Death costume 100k thru spinks 2013 auction (wrong seams/baggy , not the actual real leotard which was snug fit.....wooden nunchucks fake too , those used in the movie were foam rubber , they bend) and attempted sell fake Stan Lee sgd funko but was caught by redditor fakeautographs who sniff out these forgers every day......the Meriwethers HS has on ebay does not appear real , in fact they appear the same as the junk KM mailed me thru a HS pre order......Elkouby and KM blame each other but bottom line it was a HS pre order , HS responsible. Elkouby did prison 90s for theft movie props , this was investigated by Ospina of LAPD so this isnt the first time Elkoubys been in trouble. In 2019 Elkouby was arrested by Burbank pd for theft/drugs , I randomly read this when I googled his name. Under no circumstances would I deal with Elkouby and Martin ever again !

KM is a complete lunatic : excuses left and right , putting blame on others , hes even sold kiddie porn as underage nudes he had is likely illegal to sell but he still sold them , hes described as a god in his own mind.....his forger is a nimrod : Robert Shaw post death - he never finished Avalanche Express yet POTP certed that blatant fake , a sharpie sig from late 70s yet no fading lol , Bowie dated '17 when hed been dead a yr already , Ward doesnt add 'Robin' when he signs but "Robin" or Robin - again studied his sig for decades. The Shaw sold thru jackmsell for 5k along with other dubious 007 graphs certed by german forger Bondcollectibles whos sold fakes on ebay since 2005 , Connery/Moore were fake as was Dalton , Tim doesnt even sign 007 items for yrs or even regular photos for that matter. Funny how Bondcollectibles can sell Walken sgd photos for 10$ or less despite Chris not signing thru mail nor is he seen at premieres etc often.
