in 1990.....a guy in the CBG sold me the all Romita cover to asm #155 for 100 dollars....

I called him to say thanks when the art arrived......And he asked me if I also wanted this ASM 71 cover for 200.00. LOL

This was right after i bought the complete 20 page interior book to ASM 71 from Mitch for $800.

That ASM #71 didn't appreciate much in price between 1981 and 1990:

Inexpensive to everyone haha. I'd say most expensive piece would push $500 and everything else is under $300 with a bunch that will probably be in the $100 range

To be fair it was was competing with the 10 yr bond at over 15% in 1981, or two doubles in those same 10 years. (That same $75 was returned as $300 with essentially no risk.)

The DD splash sold on HA in April 2020 for 96k.  I guess it was the first auciton during lockdown.
