Bought this in April of '17 from @Bomber-Bob, who is sadly no longer with us. 

Quick story about this one. I mentioned I was after a copy and Bob said he had just picked one up. When I saw the scan, I was floored, as I wasn't looking for A copy, I was looking for THIS copy after seeing it in the Heritage archives. He sold it to me at or near cost, as he said I would appreciate it more than him. He was a good guy. RIP.

It's a cracked-out keeper now...

Not exactly a board sale, but @catrick339 had this at one of the early Wizard Chicago board dinners at Gibson's. I asked him if he would consider letting it go. He said he would need the exorbitant price of $400.

Narrowly missed out on a low grade Marvel 1 that @TheSurgeon listed in 2019. Likely my only shot at a copy...unless things REALLY break well for Andy. 

These two were nice consolation prizes though. Everyone was so blinded by the glory of the M1 that they missed out on these little 'ole yellow guys.

I remember looking at that just after it was posted and thinking “that seems like a really good deal.”  It was way out my price range, but fortune certainly favored the bold (and better-heeled) that day.

I picked this up from a recent Robot Man thread. For me, low grade will always be better than "no" grade! I'm happy to have it.
