Any techniques for removing grease pencil or possibly marker?

The best luck I have had with grease pencil is to take a dry Q-tip and gently trace the pencil mark. The oily residue will stick to the cotton tip. You have to have a lot of patience, using a new tip often, working up to moderate pressure. It should not affect the comic inks, but keep checking as you go.

I have been able to almost completely remove grease pencil arrival dates, to the extent that people could not see it unless I pointed out where it still is, very faint.

I have successfully removed penciled grease dates with Ronsonol lighter fluid.  Leaves no odor or residue.  Using a q-tip or clean cloth or tissue.
