This one has everything going for it in storytelling, but is a rough customer otherwise. Silver Aged (1964). Staples are sound and no rust, but staple tears to cover, blunted corners, color breaking creases/bends, small hole through cover FBRC, tanning, etc.

Wow! What a nice piece! I like how the paneling and use of distance almost make him jump through time! Very detailed too. So cool! Working on this Wolvy at the moment. Just a rough in at the moment. I'll prob try to ink it, see what happens ? Curious his lower jaw seems missing, which I can't unsee now. 😁

A couple of free hand drawings, each about an hour or two.

I draw from comic images in my free time, whatever strikes me as a challenge or whose style or imagery seems unique or unforgettable. It has me thinking. . .is there a single comic panel that stands above all the rest for you? There are iconic artists and covers, but what about THE iconic storyline moment for you in all of comics? Share images if you have one. One that comes to mind for me is from the BPRD Hell on Earth series and Johann Kraus.

Thanks! Your justifications make sense and seem to match the grade descriptions. Sending two more photos on the areas you called out. Staples look clean and to your credit there may be a very slight tear on edge of back cover. I wonder if I could see an 8-8.5 with a clean and press? @joeypost Happy to have it either way.

I found this on the bottom of a stack during an antiquing expedition. I notice light color breaking at spine and bindery tears at top and bottom corners. Comic seems new inside, is flat, and presents well. Appreciate your grade and some elaboration on what you think draws the grade down and if pressed and clean what the max grade might be. Thanks!

Confirmed! Mr Payette recognized the book image and reiterated it was a sequencing the owner used and changed regularly on the face of the books. Thanks all!

Anyone know what these markings could mean? They look to be replaced as the book moved around. Maybe a zip code or country code, but a quick search shows that might put you on an island in the middle of the Pacific!
