The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells    Dell Books #269  First mass paperback Edition    1949   $30  SOLD to dover

Very nice copy of the 1st pb edition - Gorgeous Gerald Gregg Art Deco Cover. I am leaving inside the LA Transit transfer ticket dated August 7th, 1952 that was holding place on page 25. I love those kinds of discoveries

Fine Plus. Slight slant, super glossy and unread looking. Has a crease and a bit of lamination lifting but a very attractive copy of a classic early Dell.

The Green Girl by Jack Williamson    Avon Fantasy Novel #2   First and only printing of this paperback first edition     1950     $30  SOLD to Comical Situations

Fridge Magnet book - one of the most reproduced Sci-Fi covers of all with Raymond Johnson's classic cover of the naked Green Girl in the clutches of the Vegetable monster

Very Good Minus/Very Good. Has a neat hole punch to upper right, otherwise it's a nice VG copy with creasing and wear but the classic image still looks great. Rare to find any decent looking copy less than $50

Classic  Herman Bischoff "Living Brain" Cover. "It was monstrous and alive!" Everything cool about Science Fiction is right here.

Fine. Very square and glossy. Has a perfectly straight reader crease and a bit of soiling. The back cover has traces of bundle marks from being tied up at the newsstand. A very nice copy overall.

Classic Earle Bergey giant eyeball Sci Fi cover. By far the best copy I've offered. This book is fairly common with problems, tough to find smooth.

Fine Plus/Very Fine minus. Solid square with tight spine. Has a hairline reader crease otherwise no creasing. There's a couple of tiny spots of discoloration that won't photograph.

Fantastic Bondage Torture Nude GGA cover, probably painted by Bill Randall. A classic of the Golden Age of Avon and a pretty copy of a 72 year old vintage paperback.

 

Fine Plus.   Incredible gloss on the lamination. Couple of light cover creases, near perfect lamination. Spine has some stress but no color loss. Very minor edge/corner wear.  Pages lightly toning. Presents very well.

I Am Legend by Richard Matheson, Gold Medal 643  1957  $22  SOLD to N e r V

The Second printing of the First Edition of this Matheson horror classic. The cover art is perhaps Stanley Meltzoff's masterpiece with it's Renaissance elements and lighting effects.

Made into multiple movies and a pop culture phenomenon. The Gold Medal 1st print almost never comes up for sale and is three figures when it's nice. The 2nd slightly more often.

Fine minus/Fine  A nice copy, has some spine slant and a bunch of non color breaking creases but glossy and fresh over all.
