Reholder on Gem Mint 9.5's supposed to be updated to 10's 0

Hello, I just got a notification my reholder order is shipping back to me today.  My cards graded 9.5 were not updated to 10's and I don't understand why?  This is the exact verbiage in the news release that was sent out.

"For collectors and dealers who would like to reholder cards certified by CGC Trading Cards and CSG with the new CGC Cards label, CGC Cards has lowered its reholder fee to just $5 until September 30, 2023, for cards valued under $10,000. Plus, any cards with a grade of Gem Mint 9.5 automatically convert to the CGC Cards Gem Mint 10 grade!"

To clarify:

CSG Black 9.5 Mint+ cards will not be granted CGC Black 10 Gem Mint grades.

CSG Green/CGC Blue 9.5 Gem Mint cards will be CGC Black 10 Gem Mint grades.

I had the same thought originally but did read somewhere, as NK stated above, the CSG Mint+ 9.5s would not go to 10. and they don't for sure     Reholdered example below.

Any answer from CGC on this topic? I was about to submit some 9.5 CSG cards for reholder to the advertised 10 CGC standard. This deal has been extended to the end of October.

Never mind. "GEM MINT" 9.5's get a 10 reholder. Not "Mint Plus" 9.5's.

Please confirm that Original CSG Gem Mint 9.5's will convert to Current Gem Mint 10 when submitted under the $5 re-holder option.

You shouldn’t have any 9.5 Pristine graded cards. Such a grade has never existed.

When you send in cards to get graded with a reholder in the same package, why do I get charged $20 for shipping for one reholder, and $20 again for the cards.

@SDCardCollector619, regular grading and reholder submissions have different turnaround times. We ship out all orders as they are completed. Due to this, this will result in separate shipments and therefore separate shipping invoices.

Hello, late to the game here, but trying to get some clarification on the 9.5 to 10 grade. First of all, is this still available and if so, can you briefly explain what cards are eligible?

 @wan2sanYes they still have it avaliable, only works on the old green label that are 9.5. If send in with other cards, you will get it charge shipping  seperately for the reholder and normal grading.

Thank you for reaching out. In July last year we merged CGC Trading cards and CSG into CGC Cards when this happened any card graded a Gem Mint 9.5 got updated to a Gem Mint 10 due to the new grading scale. You can find out more information here: CGC Cards. If you would like to have the card updated to the Gem Mint 10 grade and receive the new label you will submit it for a reholder. The reholder fee is $5, for cards valued at any price.   You can also check out our Verify CGC-certified Cards tool and type in your current certification number, if there is a change that would be made to the card, the new grade will reflect on the look-up tool.
