Are turnaround time estimates based on the date CGC receives the submission, or the date that CGC marks the submission as received? 1 1

Relevant because the difference between the two can sometimes be a week or more. I would hope its based on the first option, otherwise whats the point of turnaround time estimates at all?

Thank you for reaching out to us. Our projected turnaround times do include the intake time - the days when submission is processed from delivery until it appears in online tracking. During this time, requested services are reviewed, and items are inventoried and compared to the included submission form to ensure a correct count. In most cases, this is just a few days. However, various factors can affect this intake time, such as common mistakes like cards packed out of order or cards not matching the information included on the packing slip. To help streamline your submission's intake, be sure to review the details of your packing slip for accuracy and pack your cards in the order they appear on the printed packing slip.  

The total estimated turnaround time represents our best projection for the time it takes to complete submissions from delivery to the day of shipment. We do our best to estimate this time for incoming submissions; however, actual times can vary, and posted turnaround times are not guaranteed.
