Was the correct method used to determine "spine splits"?

Greetings!  We had a recent submission come back with the following Grader Note:

2.5"" of spine splits

This note uses the word "splits" (plural) - as if the Grader measured each separate split (less than 1/4 inches) and added them together to arrive at a combined total of 2.5" for the entire spine.  Is this the method CGC uses to determine the length of a comic's spine-split?  I'm asking because my comic doesn't have a single 2.5" spine split.

In this case, our graders did note the total amount/length of spine splits on the book. Many times, our graders will not put a specific number and will instead substitute it for just "spine splits". In this case, our graders decided to add the total number/dimensions to the book's notes in question. I am sorry for the confusion this may cause. We thank you for your understanding.
