There was a comic shop in Richton Park Illinois on Sauk Trail, many moons ago. No boxes or racks, just everything in piles on tables all over the place. The guy who ran it, name was Ken Pierce. He use to listen to old radio broadcasts in the shop with headphones on. Smoked like a fiend. We would hit this shop at least once a week as he was getting new stuff in daily. He had a few books on a wall board at the check out. This F.F. 12 was on it. He wanted $30.00 for it, and I thought he was nuts. I would see this book there week after week, until finally I caved in and spent the $30.00. I was livid I spent that much on one comic book. It sat in my box for decades, and then sent it to Joey for a light press, and submission. Here it is now. I've had that book at least 45 years. Like the coin traveling in No Country for Old Men. The picture does not do it justice. The #18, don't remember where I got that one, but it was in the 70's, You need to call it. I can’t call it for you. Looks like some moisture rippling and quite a few moisture spots all over it. Have to hold it at an angle to see them. Interior is really nice, with well attached C.F. and nice paper. The next round will probably have to wait until after the holidays, and we'll pick it up with issue #25, when the Thing gets his butt whipped. Fantastic Four #24 - 8.0 SOLD TO AZKABAN BP = $240.00 This is a super clean, feels great in hand. Cover is very tight, and centerfold is very well attached. Edges are nice and straight. Inside covers have some tanning. Has some color flaking on the top spine corner in the blue, as you can see in the photo. Has a few light handling lines on the front cover but do not break any color.
