It is! The only ongoing book from DC or Marvel I'm reading currently, entirely on the basis of it being fast moving, clever, and consistently entertaining with a minimum of linewide crossover nonsense. I just want to see Batman and Superman have adventures and it totally delivers on that.

Started reading Usagi Yojimbo from the beginning (Albedo #2).

I've read quite a bit of Usagi before but it's been a few years and I'd like to see if I can read through to present this year.  I started this same challenge in 2020 but quickly got derailed during the pandemic.

So in this year. Even though I only started from May 19 last year I managed 1333 comics and 11 novels, yet I don't know that I'll be able to beat that this year. I guess we'll see, but I'm not setting any goals on myself this year besides the base 1000.

A new thread for 2024 for folks to track their comic reading goals. I aim to break 1000 this year, so I'll be setting a pace of three comics a day.

1. Superman/Batman World's Finest #21

2. Superman/Batman World's Finest #22

3. X-Men (1963) #40

taking a peek of your 1st choice of the year....nice choice(thumbsu

Saw this before, but I was doing so much replying in last year's thread that I skipped by - when you say "11 novels" are you talking comic novels or "regular" novels?

Regular novels. I'd like to get more done this year, but it was hard to find the time amongst the comics.

I do have the JSA Ragnarok novel on my list for reading this year. I've yet to hear from anyone else who's read it, and I know it was a passion project by Paul Kuppenberg. It just keeps getting pushed back to my short-list.

Read Usagi Yojimbo volume 2 (141 pages from UY 1-6 volume 1).

Lots of action and humor with some great artwork.

I was thinking about some Usagi this year too.
