Will CGC Grade this card?

I have a Sundrop Dale Earnhardt card that came in a case of Sundrop.. We used to sell these in my Comic Shop (1988-2008) and Sundrop used to put a card inside each 12pack of Sundrop Cans for a while.  There were 3 different cards I believe.. but we ended up getting 2 that were autographed.. (sealed in plastic)   I ended up selling one.. (sigh) but I did keep the other.

I know that CGC doesnt do autographed cards if an individual gets one signed.. but if this one came from the distributor as a "chase" in the case of drinks.. does that qualify as a grade-able card?

Hello @comxdlr,

Thank you for reaching out. The card may be considered a "pack-pulled" card since it was distributed signed. If you would like to share an image of the card, I can see if the graders can confirm if the card is eligible for submission. Please note that an in-hand evaluation will still be required for a final determination.

The card also must be officially licensed and meet our holder size restrictions. Currently, CGC Cards accepts cards sized 2-5/8” x 3-3/4” (6.6cm x 9.5cm) or smaller. Cards may be up to 7.25mm thick.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

The problem you will run into is that while there were 500 auto inserts for this set of each card there's nothing on the card that says "auto is guaranteed" or anything like that if I remember right. This used to be my job to do the research to verify cards and that would be the flag I would provide to the graders. If you still have it in the sealed plastic I'd say 50/50. If not still in the sealed plastic odds aren't good. If you can provide a picture of the front and back of the card they should be able to tell you one way or another.
