I was expecting a higher result for McFarlane's debut ASM issue  - $35,075

On the early McASM’s, there’s less McFarlane than most folks think.

Bob McLeod did a lot more than just inking, and He should have been credited as Finisher and inker.

Good point, though I thought it was still a fairly good result for this page, not being a standout page from this issue. A slightly better page from this issue would easily get you into the $40-50k+ range I would imagine, especially seeing how rarely they come to market…

Seemed like soft prices to me.

I spend more time in the Morlock tunnels and don't breath the rarified air of 5 figure pages, but wasn't ~$20,000 for a Sandman Issue 1 page pretty low?

Also published Byrne X-Men, albeit Hidden Years, for less than $700?

Paul Ryan FF for less than $400

I don't follow the market very closely but I would guess that no dream equals no dollars.

This one (pleasantly) surprised me. Having paid a very big price for the JSF cover I bought a couple years ago, I was glad that this one did not bomb.

That does seem strong.

Wow, that is a pretty low price for that page!  Maybe one can justify it because Morpheus isn't in the page, but it's a key page.

I'm pretty sure this one sold via CaF a few months ago. I believe the asking price was $23K.

It was always edited - I'm not sure why it shows up blank in the preview (still does) but blacked out when you blow it up. hm
