Tarzan Rex of the Jungle

I walked into a thrift store in Asbury Park, NJ in the late seventies and found four nice Rex books for pocket change. This is my favorite of the set.

I've only got one issue of Rex, I think I paid $5 or so for it back in the day because it was low grade but still looked fun.

Since the Rex the Wonder Dog title was launched only in 1952, I've always wondered if any explanation was given for Rex time travelling back to WWII. He was usually depicted in the present including the Korean War.

I have a few Rex but only have the first issue scanned, they are tough books to find in the UK.
