Amazing page - it deserves it's own thread! :applause:

Thanks. I thought in light of the recent debates in other threads that I would just post the link and let those who were interested see it. (Keeping in mind, that some folks seem to feel any art from that bygone era is stuff "nobody cares about anymore." ) :)

Sweet Tomb of Dracula!

What's the best way to scan a full page of original comic art? Granted I don't have but 3 at this time and two of those are from the Ultimate Spider-Man Annual #1, and one page from an Ultimate X-Men book!

Planning on adding to my collection in the upcoming months so would like to post the pic's when I have aquired some.

Thanks for all feedback!

Re: What's the best way to scan a full page of original comic art?

Best is one of those words. :)

However, if I have a piece of art that is:

  • Is too large for my 11x17 scanner at work and/or
  • Is too thick, e.g., framed, and/or
  • Requires a high resolution scan, e.g., 400+dpi

I take it to a place here in Houston called:

Houston Photo Imaging

www.houstonphotoimaging.com

5250 Gulfton Street

Houston, TX 77081-2937

(713) 522-5400

They can handle all of the above for about $50. Not cheap, but...

Maybe you can find a similar outfit where you live.

I dont know if Mr Joe Sinnott frequents the boards or Mark Sinnott just would like to give a super thanks and kudos to them for a great looking sketch they sent. Awesome addition for the babies room.
