Gift yourself the Walking Dead Omnibus if you've never read walking dead. I also strongly suggest the Demo trade.

Fables is my new TPB crack. I read all five in about three weeks. Now I'm waiting eagerly for #6.

 

I ditto the recommendations for 100 Bullets and Watchmen. Also Hellblaze: All His Engines and the Jonah Hex Showcase edition.
