Need an opinion on this Amazing Fantasy 15

I'm on the fence on this one. It's on ebay (hence my hesitance) and there's something about it that just doesn't sit right.

 

Thoughts on grade?

I'd say it doesn't sit right. The thing is floating! Now, AF 15 is a pretty special book, but I've never seen "defies gravity" next to it in Overstreet.

 

I'm gonna say 4.5.

 

What's up with the back cover opening edge..half way down..bottom left of the green box?

4.5 is my guess too (key word is "guess"). I'd be wary of the page quality, given the tanning halo visible on the front cover.

Yeah, I thought 4 to a 5 as well, but that tanning thing seems to go from front cover to back cover so I'm wondering what's inside.

I think the spine and LLC are too chewed up for the fine range. Multiple small creases, spine wear, very rounded spine corners, moderate toning... I think 4.5 is about right.

Ya, lower left corner, pieces missing. I was thinking 5.0/5.5 until I saw that.

I think Id agree with the 4.5 but judging from other AF15s who knows maybe 5.5. Very nice book with great eye appeal...

It looks nice so its possible to get a 5.0. Wasnt there a 3.0? or something from metropolis that looked like toilet paper?

I'm concerned about the spine on the front cover. It looks as if pieces have been replaced. Especially between the voice bubbles. Edge on the front cover also looks like it may have been trimmed. I'd love to get a close look at that book.

Well, looks like there was something fishy.

 

eBay dealer had about 50 ASM's and 2 Amazing Fantasy 15's. Auctions were ending today and tomorrow, well, now they've all been pulled by eBay. Oh well.
