Dang, I had that one held in reserve, as I think it's the coolest ad, or right up there with Conan's first appearance.

Great work on the Iron Fist full-page spread, as I had no luck in locating that one.

This is a weird one from Marvel, as it takes a pretty non-descript Fantastic Four issue and villain, and tries to pawn it off as some major happening. Who knows, maybe Marvel had big plans for Ternak, The Monster Who Walks the Midnight Snows!!! confused-smiley-013.gif

The Giant-Size era was a very interesting one for Marvel, and this is one of the first full-page ads I remember seeing, and naturally it just blew my socks off. Spidey meeting Dracula... that's another no-brainer buy... too bad they never actually met in the comic.

I think I remember reading this Giant-Size Fantastic Four "Terror out of Time!" issue, and I believe it tied into MTIO Annual #1... confused-smiley-013.gif

I believe it was FF annual #11 that tied in to the MTIO annual. Great thread though... I'll see if I can dig some up. 893applaud-thumb.gif

Cool! I've never seen that particular ad.

Here is another ad which didn't turn out exactly as advertised. The real odd thing about this one was that the ad was in the actual GS Super Stars starring the Fantastic Four!

It appears that a change to a comic title also warrants a half-page ad, and now that Kull the Conquerer has changed to Kull the Destroyer, Marvel wanted everyone to know about it.

But the real question is, what the heck is the STUNNING SHOCK ENDING!?

P.S. This must be about the millionth time Marvel has used "Because You Demanded It!" in an ad, like we're to blame if it sucks. foreheadslap.gif
