Heh - my claim to fame is that at no point have I ever owned more than 3500 comics. Currently, I am down to about 2000.

Uncanny X-Men, of which I have an unbroken run from #93 to #471. Then, it's "adjectiveless" X-Men, and Wolverine, along with a BUNCH of the mini- and limited-series connected with my mutants. After that, I collect pre-Unity VALIANT and that's about it. Oh, sure, I have some other stuff ("The Maxx" from Image, "Empire" from DC, etc.) but for three years now, I have not purchased any new comics. If it weren't for a few back-issues here and there, I couldn't really say I was a 25-year collector!

Oh, the desire is there, and I have quite a few issues lower than #93, that's just my unbroken run.

 

Similar to "the mind is willing but the flesh is weak," I just don't have the cash for the more expensive SA books right now. But, I will get all the way down to a complete run from #1 up - someday.
