Para, those are hot.

Maybe this is too forward, but what were the prices like on those... ie, did you pay a hefty Metro/pedigree premium?

I love the Heath greytone on AAMOW #110... one of my fave covers from this era.

Shep

Actually, the prices on all those books were well below what we'd expect to pay for them. Waaayyyy below, for instance: I paid only $30 for the AAMOW #10. I'm telling ya, they must have had close to 75 SA DC war peds and they all sold almost immediately. Hell, I wanted to go back and buy more...but they were sold out :(

Andy, I'd also like to know what you think of the color on that book relative to the scan he had with the auction. His other books looked faded, but I couldn't tell if it was just the scanner.

The books in hand don't appear faded, but I can no longer compare them to the original pictures, as they are now removed.

as usual amazing books here.

question, my LCS has a OFF #30 in VF- for $90 bucks. does that sound like a good price?

thanks

That book would be nice as a true VF- 7.5, and if it is, $90 is alright. The top notch books don't come around too often and usually don't last too long. Mind you, if that book really turns out to be a Fine/Fine+ then $90 is way too much. (IMHO) :shy:

Good luck!

:frustrated: I won his OAAW 104 and now I'm not even looking forward

to receiving it. I thought I heard someone mention he was a board member?

Andy, if your 7.5 OFF 70 looked like that then I hate to see what my lowly

FN- copy is going to be like. The packaging has me worried too with

Canada's Posts' usual treatment of my poorly packaged books. :(

That's e-bay for you and I guess if we play the game we sometimes

pay the frustration that goes along with it.

I sure wish I spent that 50.00 on not a bad looking Millie cover that

recently ended for under 50.00.

Well, he's got some more books up right now http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZtennislookin

Lots of nice graded ones, and an assortment of raw. If the seller's reading this right now :hi:

He sure does have some nice books up for auction and the

OAAW 105 looks pretty sweet. I'm sure I won't be disappointed

about my book and I'm hoping it will be nice. :wishluck:

Wow, I don't think this thread has gone a day without someone posting something in weeks....then I made this post and no one has posted for a couple days. Do you guys think this book is the same as this one (same seller-see his feedback) I think it is.

same book?

I think it's the same book most likely returned by the original

winner. Different picture and the book looks the same although

this time the picture is terrible.

I bought a book on e-bay and seen the same book in the seller's

recent feedbacks and questioned this fairly new seller about the

FB for the book I won.

The FB was a refund from an unsatisfied buyer just very happy to

get his money back. He sure left glowing FB for a refund just like

this buyer if that is the case. (shrug)
