Complete Avengers run, Volumes #1-3, and New Avengers. Also complete Giant-sized and Annuals and even West Coast Avengers. thumbsup2.gif

Great Lakes Avengers? makepoint.gif

Well, I didn't want to ramble on about GLA, EMH, Avengers2, Avengers Last Story, Avengers Forever, etc. etc. etc. grin.gif

Oh, and lets not forget one of the best: Ultimates thumbsup2.gif

I'll start it off with really the only series I still collect: the Amazing Spider-Man run starting with Amazing Fantasy 15 and going through the latest issue 532

What the median condition grade on this run?

I've been collecting VF and up ASM Spideys off and on for 25 years

I have 35 left before a full run

(unfortunately 21 out of the 35 are AF15–ASM20 and I'm sure I'll have

to cut my standards when I get to this point)

52 and below is strictly CGC in my run so far...

Congrats on your super run though - reguardless of what the grade is!

I would say most of the books 200 and above are NM.

I have been upgrading a lot of the books from 125 to 185, so VF+/NM for them.

Most of the earlier stuff is VG/FN. My #6 is pretty nice and my #22 is even better.

Love this sort of thread.

My longest run is Action Comics. I have 558 issues in total and an unbroken run of regular issues from issue 379 (1969) to 839 (2006). I also have most of the variants apart from a few pence and Whitman Logo variants I am still tracking down.

Other long runs include..

Eagle 457 issues

Batman 436 issues

Detective 302 issues

Spider-Man (Marvel UK) 448 issues

Mighty World of Marvel 231 issues

Uncanny X-Men 228 Issues

Avengers 213 issues

Amazing Spider-Man 192 issues

I tended to start with moderns and work gradually backwards.

hail.gifhail.gif Nice you have all the way from AF #15 to ASM #532 893applaud-thumb.gif

You got me beat my Largest Run is also Amazing Spider-Man I have from #1 to #441 frown.gif still don't have an Amazing Fantasy #15 but I want one. I kind of quit on the series when Volume 1 ended and they started over at #1 again Christo_pull_hair.gif but I may eventually try to catch up again someday since they went back to the old numbering to make my set complete grin.gif.

That was the same for me with the Marvel stuff. I have up when the ended the original numbering. I have since picked up a few of the missed issues but not many. ASM was the only one I picked up again when the original renumbering started but I have dropped it again due to the storylines only being so-so and fed up with the variants.

I'm 140 books away from having the entire 1970s Marvels. The next longest run is Avengers 1-402.

That’s really impressive. Too many people miss out on great artwork in the Romance books and such.

Earl.

Maybe you could post a list of what you still need and fill some holes?

I've posted a list a couple of time and hav gotten some good hits from board members. Out of those 140 I could probably easily get it down to under 100 -- just some easy stuff like X-Men and Marvel Tales. The other 100 are all westerns, romance, kiddie books and stuff like that.

Once I get back from Heroes I will post my want list.

What is the name of that guy who collected every single dc comic ever produced?

His name is hail.gif Mike at http://www.dcindexes.com/

He's at 33,170.

Missing 4583

893scratchchin-thumb.gifI believe I mentioned his name, and it's not Mike. His name is Ian, and he's not missing any. Here's a link to the page of Altons GA group shot thread, where Ian makes an appearance with 2 or 3 group shots of his collection.
