I recently realized I have been remiss in keeping my acquisitions posted and despite many of them being in less than optimal condition I am thrilled to have each and every one. In some cases I am including the back covers because they have such cool house ads, some of the interior house ads are pretty spectacular as well but I will put those in the proper thread.

 

Fairly large number of books to post so I hope you will bear with me. So without further ado...

The early Fantastic's with the Lou Fine covers are what really attracted me to the title so once you get started its hard to know where to stop sometimes. Despite the later issues having a degree of sameness to them they still appeal to me quite a bit.

I think of this one as a sort of transitional cover straddling the line between the complex detail of the Lou Fine covers and the later stripped down portrayals of Samson demonstrating massive strength.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to smile while lifting a ship out of the water? This one also has a cool back cover house ad.

I need to get another Lou Fine cover...

I love this cover, it has everything but the kitchen sink, bondage, third eye, fangs, flames, snakes for fingers, whats not to love?

 

 

and a cool Samson back cover

They definitely screwed up the perspective to make it all fit but it still works.

This seems to be one of the tougher issues, other than the shadow along the spine its not too bad.

In case you are wondering I did have to pay more than $3.00 for this one.

I believe this one is a detective pulp cover swipe, cant remember which one though.

Fox seemed to really like putting victims in beakers.

I am going to finish up this batch with another one by the master, not quite as much going on in this image as the famous number 3 but its pretty stunning in its own right.
