Since we were chatting about later Weirds in the cigar thread... Always happy for an excuse to post these again. ;)

Very unusual colors on this trio!

well done. how long before shiv comes on and says: "cool books; i've never noticed those before." artists can be some damn predictable.

So, it's more than a little embarrassing to follow Jon Berk's Weird #20 with this copy... ...but this is such a

neat story, I think you'll see why I'm doing it anyway.

As a few of you fellow Fox junkies may already know, Weird Comics #20 is one of the toughest books -- if not THE

toughest -- of the entire '39-'42 Fox output. And given that I've been collecting the Weird run for the last three

years and not seen a single copy for sale in that time, I was honestly not sure I'd ever find even a filler

or incomplete #20 for my run.

This is where Dan (buttock) came in... knowing that this book has been eluding me for years, he took the

initiative to track down this copy from an obscure dealer, and actually bought it and had it shipped to me

without even informing me what was coming. :whatthe: An incredibly kind gesture on his part, and one

I won't soon forget.

So, my very sincere thanks and kudos to Dan! :applause: 19 Weirds down, and just one (#1) to go!

Hi

As my 50th birthday gets closer I've settled on these wonderful Fox titles as my only comic collecting focus. Everything else has (almost) been sold, and I'm at peace with the world.

My collection so far isn't that great but I though that I'd start posting them here as time permits. I look forward to aquiring more issues and seeing everyone else's (thumbs u

Sincerely, Jeff :)

First up
