But I'll be adding the new Simone/Byrne Atom series when it comes out.

I don't know about that. Byrne's art aside, Simone gave us quite a nice teaser in 10 pages or so. We have a new hero, a group of sidekicks, some strange villians, and the president's dog under mind control. That's quite a bit more than a lot of the other stories in Brave New World Provided.

 

I like Byrne's art, but I'm buying the book based on the strength of Gail Simone's writing. It's no secret I'm a big fan of her work.

I agree. Kinda. I mean, it's one of the best books out there, but I think it reads better in collected format. I can't even remember the storylines each month.

No shock there. Simone started out strong but she faded in my opinion. Plus I think you know how I feel about that Byrne.

I liked the new Atom and I'm willing to give it a few more issues. I do agree that Byrne's art is suffering of late. I also agree that Simone's work is suffering of late also. I think she's spread herself to thin. Secret Six #2 was almost unreadable and I'm dropping that mini.
