Well, you set a limit of $2200 You have to set limits, or you could easily overpay for a book. Who was to know, that he would end up selling it for $25 more. Do you think, we will see a scan of this book, in the CGC forum?

What's annoying is that his counter-offers left me with the impression that we were far apart, when apparently I was incredibly close to an acceptable offer.

 

Wonder who snagged it.

 

That's too bad you weren't able to win the book. It is strange that the second bidders bid of $2,225 was not even counteroffered &/or declined. I'm guessing the seller may have thought this new bid was YOUR new offer (after having gone back & forth with you a little already) and he finally just accepted.
